60 Seconds to Tokyo is the latest edition of the Archipelago Global Flavours Series, a culinary programme that brings street food inspiration from cities and countries around the world to Archipelago hotels across Indonesia. Every six months, the programme introduces a new destination, allowing guests to explore global flavours without having to travel abroad.

Three creations take centre stage in 60 Seconds to Tokyo: Menchi Chicken Katsu, crispy chicken katsu with a juicy centre; Sakura Sunset, a refreshing drink with delicate floral notes; and Kuromitsu Matcha Puff, a light puff dessert combining the earthy character of matcha with the sweetness of kuromitsu.

Other selections include Chicken Kamikaze, Chicken Katsu Sando, Takoyaki, Wagyu Burger, Hambagu, Yakimeshi Fried Rice, Grilled Chicken Breast with Koji Sauce and Prawn Tempura Nori Taco. Guests can also enjoy Japanese Cotton Cheese, along with beverages such as Shizuku Matcha Cooler, Shiso-Basil Berry, and Hojicha Latte.

The campaign also introduces Ren and Reina, two characters who serve as the faces of 60 Seconds to Tokyo and accompany guests throughout the experience. Ren, who is of Indonesian-Japanese heritage, and Reina, a Japanese woman living in Indonesia, represent the connection between the two cultures through their shared love of Japanese street food. Together, they invite guests to discover the flavours of Tokyo in a fun and engaging way.

As the largest performance venue within Jakarta’s Taman Ismail Marzuki arts and cultural complex, Teater Besar is a 1,200-seat theatre designed for large-scale productions. Its stage and production infrastructure support theatre, musicals, concerts and other cultural performances, with each production having its own technical requirements. To support these demands, Teater Besar has become the first venue in Indonesia to deploy Sennheiser Spectera, the world’s first wideband, bidirectional wireless ecosystem.

Hosting a diverse programme means no two productions at Teater Besar are exactly alike. Different production companies, technical crews, stage layouts and wireless requirements mean that the venue’s technical team has to prepare and configure the audio system for every performance.

In 2016, the venue began planning a major upgrade to its audio system, moving from an analogue to a digital setup. The new system was introduced in 2018, with Albeta, the venue’s system integrator, overseeing its implementation. As production requirements evolved, however, the growing number of wireless microphones created new challenges around RF coordination, setup time and equipment footprint.

For the venue’s technical team, the priority was a wireless system that could make day-to-day operations easier without limiting future possibilities.

“What we’re looking for is basically a system that is simple, easy to set up, doesn’t take up too much space and has a fuss-free installation process,” said Dwi Winarno, Technical Audio Specialist at Teater Besar. “At the same time, it needs to have room to grow as our future requirements evolve.”

Rather than replacing the venue’s existing audio infrastructure, the project focused on expanding its wireless capabilities as production requirements continued to evolve.

Meeting the demands of modern live productions

Large-scale theatre productions can require dozens of wireless microphones operating simultaneously, creating complex RF environments.

“One of our biggest challenges was RF interference,” said Dwi. “Previously, we used a traditional one-device-to-one-receiver architecture, where frequency clashes became common whenever 40 to 50 wireless microphones were operating simultaneously. These clashes created noise and unwanted interference, which could seriously disrupt large-scale theatre productions.”

The venue itself also presents acoustic challenges. Architectural features and the behaviour of sound within the room can affect audio performance, making careful preparation an important part of every production.

Before Spectera, Teater Besar’s conventional wireless architecture meant that the number of receivers and supporting equipment grew with the number of microphones required. For productions using 32 wireless channels, this meant large equipment racks and additional time for loading, setup and installation.

For the venue’s technical team, the challenge was therefore not simply to accommodate more microphones, but to find a more efficient way of managing an increasingly complex wireless environment.

A new approach to wireless audio

Teater Besar became the first venue in Indonesia to deploy Spectera, introducing the platform while it was still relatively new to the market.

“When I first presented Spectera to Mas Dwi, my understanding was based largely on product presentations and discussions with the Sennheiser team,” said Yosafat. “I had seen the system being tested, but I hadn’t yet experienced it being used in a major live production.”

The compact architecture was one of the first aspects to stand out during the demonstration.

“Previously, when using 32 separate units, we had to prepare very large racks to accommodate all the equipment,” Dwi explained. “With this system, a single compact unit can accommodate everything. Most of those large racks have now been removed.”

Today, the deployment includes a Sennheiser Spectera Base Station, 2 DAD antennas, 15 bidirectional body packs and Sennheiser HSP 4 headset microphones. The system primarily supports theatre productions and musicals, while also being used for corporate events, talk shows, panel discussions and similar productions.

Simplifying wireless operations and RF management

Around 70 percent of productions requiring wireless systems at the venue now use Spectera, with a typical setup involving around 15 wireless channels. Since its deployment, the system has supported approximately eight to ten productions at Teater Besar.

The reduction in equipment has made a tangible difference to the venue’s workflow.

“The difference compared to our previous analogue system is significant,” said Dwi. “It is much more compact and efficient, both in terms of time and space.”

RF management has also become more measurable. Before each event, the technical team can power on the devices being used and analyse the RF environment through the Spectera WebUI. The system displays RF activity visually, allowing engineers to identify frequencies with lower interference and select the most suitable options for the production.

“Previously, we had no way of visualising the RF environment like this,” Dwi explained. “Now, RF performance is visible and we can analyse it directly through the monitoring software before an event begins.”

The Spectera WebUI also provides visibility into signal quality, device status and battery condition during operation.

“The biggest source of confidence is the Spectera WebUI. It gives us detailed, real-time visibility into the RF environment throughout the performance.”

The ability to monitor RF conditions in this level of detail gives the technical team greater visibility before and during a production.

Confidence, behind the scenes

The value of Spectera at Teater Besar is ultimately reflected in how the technical team works during a production. With full visibility of device status such as volume, latency, battery levels and RF health in real time, the team can spend less time dealing with wireless infrastructure and more time focusing on the performance itself.

Having been with Teater Besar since 2018, Dwi has experienced several generations of audio technology at the venue. His assessment of Spectera is grounded in that experience and in its day-to-day use across productions.

“Since we began using Spectera, I haven’t encountered any interference or technical issues,” Dwi said. “As long as the system has been set up correctly and everything is connected properly, we simply monitor its performance through the software during the event.”

For Teater Besar, that reliability and visibility are becoming part of a more streamlined approach to wireless production, one that can adapt as the venue’s technical requirements continue to evolve.

“Up until now, there really hasn’t been another system quite like this.”

For a venue hosting production of different scales and formats throughout the year, the right wireless system is one that can support the complexity of each production while remaining unobtrusive to the people delivering it.

Handcrafted at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England, the motor car features an exterior finished in Silver and Midnight Sapphire, accented by a Grace White coachline, reflecting the colours of Noosa’s ocean, sky and shoreline.

Inside, the rear cabin is configured for comfort and seclusion. Reverso: The Emblematic Reversible Watch

The seven Reverso models offered in the sixth Collectibles capsule collection illustrate the depth and breadth of the Reverso’s evolution from its introduction in 1931 until the beginning of the early 21st century. While Reverso was originally conceived for a sport – created to withstand the shocks of the polo field – it was quickly adopted by tastemakers from many walks of life, continuously evolving without compromising its identity to become recognised as an icon of Art Deco design. In the 1930s, LeCoultre & Cie distinguished itself with black dials, contrasting with the dominant silver and white dials in the watch industry. These black dials were hailed as ‘the dial of the future’ in the 1934 Spécialités Horlogères catalogue, which was the very first product catalogue from the association between Jaeger and LeCoultre. Reserved for only a select number of early Reverso references, these high-legibility dials reinforced the model’s resolutely modern character and are notably featured on three timepieces from this capsule: Reverso 1931, Reverso 1931 Dame and the Doctor’s Reverso.

The Reverso 1931 features this bold black dial with a railroad minute track and elongated trapezoidal indexes. It is fitted with the Tavannes Calibre 063, a pragmatic early solution while Jaeger-LeCoultre developed its own shaped movements from 1933 onwards. This Reverso is offered with a hand-crafted black calfskin leather strap.

Cased in steel and powered by the Tavannes Calibre 051, the Reverso 1931 Dame demonstrates how quickly the model evolved for different wearers. Adapting the same design language, its dial replaces the men’s minute track with bracket-like corner markers and refined Art Deco corners with trapezoidal indexes, details echoed today in the Reverso One collection. This Reverso is also offered with a hand-crafted black calfskin leather strap.

Set in a steel case, the 1938 Reverso Central Seconds, later nicknamed the Doctor’s Reverso, houses the Manufacture Calibre 411 and reflects the growing functional sophistication of the model. Designed with practicality in mind, its central seconds display features five-second intervals aligned with the elongated hour markers for optimal readability, making the precise measurement of pulse rates particularly easy. A highly practical tool for doctors of the time, it soon earned the enduring nickname “Doctor’s Reverso”. This timepiece is offered with a hand-crafted black calfskin leather strap.

A two-tone Reverso from 1941 pairs steel with 18K yellow gold (750/1000), an innovative combination conceived to enhance durability while preserving the elegance of gold. Its 18K 18k yellow gold (750/1000) case bears the eagle head hallmark for French gold. Powered by the Manufacture Calibre 438, it features a small-seconds display at six o’clock, a configuration introduced in 1933 that became one of the defining signatures of early Reverso design. This timepiece is offered with a hand-crafted light-brown calfskin leather strap with cream-colored stitching.

A 1972 Reverso Corvo, produced in just 200 pieces, marks a pivotal chapter in the history of the Reverso. When changing tastes favoured functional watches, in a post-war era that prized practicality over elegance and amid the quartz crisis, Giorgio Corvo recognised the enduring appeal of the design. In 1972, he acquired the Maison’s final 200 unused Reverso cases and fitted them with the mechanical Calibre 840. Said to have sold out within a month to Italian clients, the Reverso Corvo proved that enthusiasm for the model had never faded and paved the way for its revival. Featuring a silver dial housed in a steel case, it remains powered by the manual-winding Calibre 840. This timepiece is offered with a hand-crafted black calfskin leather strap.

Set in an 18K white gold case (750/1000), a Reverso Sun Moon from 2000 reflects the renewed enthusiasm for mechanical watchmaking that emerged in the 1990s, when Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a new generation of complication calibres for the Reverso, fitting them in cases with sapphire crystal backs to showcase the mechanical complexity. Equipped with the manual-winding Calibre 823, first developed in 1999, it pairs technical sophistication with an elegant display of celestial indications. Its black dial tracks the passage of the sun through a rotating 24-hour disc, complemented by a moon-phase display at six o’clock and a power reserve at eleven o’clock. Framed by a railway minute track and Arabic numerals, the composition balances clarity with refinement, while the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement with its recognisable pistol bridge. This timepiece is paired with a hand-crafted black Cordovan strap by the celebrated Argentinian polo bootmaker, Casa Fagliano.

A Reverso Art Deco illustrates how the introduction of sapphire crystal casebacks encouraged a new expression of decorative craftsmanship within the collection: skeletonisation. First introduced in 1995, this 2003 example pairs an intricately hand-decorated, skeletonised interpretation of Calibre 822 with an elegant Art Deco aesthetic. Visible through the open caseback, the emblematic calibre is distinguished by blued screws and hand-engraved bridges adorned with a refined barleycorn motif. Its 18K white gold case (750/1000) frames a salmon-toned solid silver dial, where hand-guilloché patterns contrast with vertical brushing, complemented by dauphine hands and applied trapezoidal indexes. Archival records indicate that no more than ten pieces were made each month, reflecting the exceptional level of craftsmanship required for each timepiece. This timepiece is paired with a hand-crafted black Cordovan strap by the celebrated Argentinian polo bootmaker, Casa Fagliano.

The seven Reverso pieces are complemented by five watches that demonstrate the diversity of the 17 models included in The Collectibles programme. Each of the five additional watches offered in the sixth capsule represents a high-water mark for both Jaeger-LeCoultre and 20th-century watchmaking, with groundbreaking innovations that exemplify the Maison’s pioneering spirit.

The Duoplan: A Revolution on the Wrist

At the dawn of the partnership between Jaeger and LeCoultre, the Duoplan represented a genuine industry revolution. Built on two superimposed planes, the Duoplan calibre opened new creative possibilities for both companies. Invented in 1925, its rectangular two-level architecture enabled unprecedented miniaturisation by housing larger, more robust components within a compact construction. This breakthrough had a decisive impact on the design of women’s watches. It was also a revolution for LeCoultre & Cie, which, thanks to the Duoplan, transitioned from a movement and component producer to a full-fledged watch manufacturer.

Memovox: A Second Memory

In 1958, Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrated its 125th anniversary by launching three models that highlighted its expertise and the innovative character of its creations. Among them was a particularly striking interpretation of the legendary Memovox: the Memovox Parking. With a patented dial design highly recognisable thanks to its blue and white pictogramme, the Memovox Parking allows the wearer to set the alarm for a specific duration to avoid any parking ticket.

A 1958 Memovox Parking embodies a seemingly incompatible duality: elegance in 18K pink gold (750/1000) paired with purposeful functionality. Powered by the manual-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 814, it transforms a refined dress watch into a discreet urban companion, thanks to its alarm function. The case bears the Edmond Jaeger hallmark (EJ), attesting to its Parisian craftsmanship in the Maison’s ateliers. It is fitted on a hand-crafted brown calfskin leather strap.

Produced in 1969, this steel Memovox Automatic Calendar, reference E855, pairs technical innovation with a strong visual identity. At the time, Jaeger-LeCoultre brought together two key advances in wristwatchmaking: the alarm complication and automatic winding. This 37 mm model features an elegant black dial with a date window at 3 o’clock and is powered by the self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 825.

Its distinctive character is further enhanced by its five-row bracelet made by Gay Frères and engraved with the company’s chamois hallmark. Fitted with its original Gay Frères steel bracelet, the combination with the black painted dial makes it one of the most sought-after Memovox Automatic models, crafted by the renowned Swiss specialist known for supplying the world’s most prestigious watchmakers. An additional hand-crafted black calfskin strap is also provided with the watch.

Geomatic: The Chronometer Calibre

Inspired by the legendary Geophysic, the Geomatic incorporates the best that the watchmakers from the Vallée de Joux could produce at the time. The Geomatic was developed as one of the most reliable automatic watches of its time. Highly precise and a true benchmark at its launch in 1961, it symbolises the ultimate combination of state-of-the-art technology and understated elegance thanks to its chronometer-certified movement and rich dial.

A rare Geomatic E560 from 1970, produced to just 200 pieces, is housed in an 18K yellow gold cushion-shaped case (750/1000). Powered by the automatic Calibre K883S, chronometer-certified and tested for 360 hours, it features a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time-setting and an instantaneous jumping date. This highly technical construction reflects the pursuit of accuracy at the heart of the Geomatic line. It is fitted on a hand-crafted taupe calfskin leather strap.

Each timepiece offered under The Collectibles programme is presented with an extract from the Jaeger-LeCoultre archives and a complimentary copy of The Collectibles book, as well as a new handmade leather strap chosen to complement the style of each watch, except in cases where the model has a metal bracelet. In addition, when available, the original box and papers together with the original strap or bracelet will be included.

With this new model, Porsche Motorsport is taking its GT4 programme to a new level and specifically expanding its model range in the upper performance bracket. The international GT4 category is one of the fastest-growing segments in global customer motorsport. At the same time, series such as the ADAC GT4 Germany and international equivalents like the GT4 European Series are regarded as a crucial element of the talent pyramid on the path to top-level GT3 racing.

The new 911 GT4 R builds on the technical foundation of the current Cup version, which is based on the road-legal 911 GT3 of the 992.2 generation. Compared with the previous Clubsport models based on the 718 Cayman, it offers a more powerful engine, wider track widths and further-developed motorsport electronics. These factors improve lap times, drivability and stability in racing conditions in particular.

“With the new racing car based on the Porsche 911 GT3, we are taking our successful GT4 programme to a new level. The combination of iconic 911 DNA and the tried-and-tested GT4 concept creates a unique offering in the market,” says Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport. “Our decision to bring the 911 platform into the GT4 category underlines the growing importance of this class in international motorsport. GT4 has evolved from an entry-level segment into a highly competitive, globally relevant racing platform.”

Racing engine and gearbox from the 911 Cup

The high-revving 4.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine is based on the unit used in the 911 GT3 (911 GT3 (WLTP)*: Fuel consumption combined: 13.8 – 13.7 l/100 km; CO₂ emissions combined: 312 – 310 g/km; CO₂ class: G) and delivers up to 382 kW (520 PS) in the racing version. Maximum torque is up to 470 Newton metres (Nm). As is standard under GT4 regulations, these performance figures vary depending on the Balance of Performance (BoP) classification. For example, the 911 GT4 R is delivered ex-works with air flow restrictors (53.7 millimetres), which reduce power to 316 kW (430 PS). Power is transmitted via a sequential six-speed dog-gearbox with steering-wheel paddle shifters and a four-disc racing clutch.

In terms of the chassis, the new customer racing car takes a different approach to the 911 Cup due to regulations: the wheels, each one inch narrower, are mounted using a five-hole pattern, as is standard in production models. The dual-adjustable dampers and three selectable spring rates offer additional set-up options.

Natural fibre composites on exterior and in cockpit

The 911 GT4 R adopts key body structures from the 911 Cup and makes targeted use of its aerodynamic optimisations. The rear wing is manually adjustable to eleven positions. A distinctive feature is the extensive use of natural-fibre-reinforced plastic in combination with epoxy resin. Components such as the doors, engine cover and aerodynamic parts, as well as parts of the cockpit, are made from this material.

Inside the cockpit, the driver receives all relevant information via a 10.3-inch colour display. An integrated data logger and a precise GPS system support analysis and performance optimisation during racing. Additional ballast components allow the car to be adapted to the respective weight classification specified by the BoP.

GT4: a global growth segment in customer motorsport

The GT4 category was introduced in the mid-2000s and has since developed into a well-established competitive format worldwide. It combines production-based technology with comparatively moderate running costs, making it an important entry-level class below GT3 racing. For manufacturers, the category offers the opportunity to be represented by customer teams in numerous national and international series. Porsche is one of the most successful brands in the global GT4 scene. In the SRO organisation’s international ‘Manufacturer Ranking’, Porsche currently occupies third place (as of 19 June 2026).

A successful history in customer motorsport within the GT4 sector

Since entering the GT4 category in 2016, Porsche has developed and produced more than 1,500 racing cars based on the Cayman. The models are characterised by a combination of robust production technology and race-specific components and have established themselves worldwide as economically attractive customer racing solutions. The new 911 GT4 R continues this success story and, for the first time, expands the range to include a car based on the iconic 911 series.

The perpetual calendar is a noble watchmaking complication that fulfils its promise provided the movement is constantly wound. It is distinguished by a cam mechanism that enables the watch’s calibre to strictly follow the specifics of the Gregorian calendar until 2100 without intervention. The calibre’s power reserve is therefore of paramount importance in the absence of an automated watch-winding device. With Calibre 3610 QP, the watchmakers and engineers at Vacheron Constantin have addressed this issue from the user’s perspective, with the aim of extending the autonomy of a perpetual calendar movement without compromising its operation and precision when the watch is not being worn. This gives full meaning to the term ‘perpetual’ in the name of this complication.

The Twin Beat® System

In 2019, following four years of research and development, the design of a dual-frequency system integrated into the 3610 QP calibre—one frequency for the wearer’s active phases and the other for the watch’s resting phases—marked a new milestone in power reserve management and, by extension, in the practicality of such a complication. The movement is equipped with two independent gear trains, powered by a series-connected coaxial double barrel. The first, featuring a high-frequency regulation (5 Hz – 36,000 vibrations per hour), ensures that the watch operates with precision in ‘Active’ mode, whilst the second, with a low frequency (1.2 Hz – 8,640 vph), reduces energy consumption during the ‘Standby’ phase.

One of the challenges of this system was to determine how much it would be possible to slow down the oscillation rate of the low-frequency regulator to ensure the longest possible power reserve, without compromising the calibre’s accuracy. With a rate of 1.2 Hz, the watchmakers and engineers at Vacheron Constantin found a balanced compromise, giving Calibre 3610 QP a power reserve of more than two months in ‘Standby’ mode, with a constant amplitude throughout the duration. In “Active” mode, the calibre boasts a four-day power reserve.

To enhance ease of use, Vacheron Constantin’s engineers developed a push-button-operated switching system set in the case-side at 8 o’clock, with a mode indicator displayed by a hand on the dial. This patented system maintains the display of the time and calendar information during the transition between high-frequency Active mode (5 Hz) and low-frequency Standby mode (1.2 Hz), switching instantly from high to low, and vice versa. By stopping one balance wheel to start the other, this causes no interruption in the calibre’s energy chain, thus ensuring a constant display of the time and calendar indications.

The calibre’s power reserve is extended by 5 days in Standby mode

Comprising 480 components and measuring just 6 mm thick, the hand-wound Calibre 3610QP has undergone further technical developments since 2019, particularly in relation to its three differentials. To ensure smooth reading of the hours and minutes, a first differential facilitates the transition between the two gear trains.

A second differential is specifically designed to split the energy from the mainspring, channelling it exclusively to the 1.2 Hz gear train, which then powers the 1.2 Hz balance wheel. This balance wheel for Standby mode, recognisable by its larger diameter, is fitted with a hairspring adapted to its rate. Specially developed for this movement, its minuscule thickness of 0.015 mm is far thinner than a human hair.

The third differential is used to indicate the power reserves. As energy storage is provided by a double barrel fitted with two springs, this construction allows, in addition to efficient energy distribution, the display of both power reserves by a single hand in a single counter featuring two scales – set at 12 o’clock on the dial.

To increase the power reserve of Calibre 3610 QP, further research focused on the instantaneously jumping perpetual calendar indications. Generally, this type of display affects the amplitude of the balance wheel, leading to a loss of precision. To address this, Vacheron Constantin’s watchmakers and engineers developed a new double-gear spring-winding mechanism. Operating on a principle similar to that of the first version of the Traditionnelle Twin Beat, this patented system is designed to maximise energy-efficiency. Indeed, it requires four times less torque than conventional instant-jump mechanisms, making the date change much less energy-intensive. It is this optimisation, together with the refinement of the system as a whole – particularly in 1.2 Hz mode – that has enabled the power reserve to be increased by 5 days.

A contemporary aesthetic with an open-worked dial

The Twin Beat remains true to the design codes of the Traditionnelle collection, with the rounded shape of its case, slim bezel and fluted caseback. With a diameter of 42 mm, the platinum case measures just 12.3 mm in thickness.

On the dial side, the watch adopts an aesthetic resolutely contemporary in style on different aspects. The sapphire dial, has an engraved and inked railway-track minute track and applied white gold baton hour markers, it comprises two distinct parts. The lower sapphire section reveals the movement’s mainplate, which is sandblasted and treated with NAC galvanic coating. The upper part of the dial is defined by an 18k gold plate, finished in a slate-grey hue and hand-guilloché with a radiating pattern. The hours and minutes are indicated by faceted white gold Dauphine hands.

The same NAC galvanic treatment is applied to the back of the movement. Beneath the bridges, which are hand-bevelled and finished with Côtes de Genève, the mainplate is also sandblasted, while the cover of the imposing barrel is given a circular satin finish. Echoing the two-tone aesthetic of the dial, the reverse of Calibre 3610 QP also offers a striking contrast between the anthracite grey of the fixed components and the golden yellow of the moving parts.

To optimise the readability of the displays, the power reserve, day and month counters have been modified and laser-etched glass gives them a frosted appearance that contrasts with the colour of the movement and the guilloché upper dial. The contemporary aesthetic is enhanced by a strap in textured calfskin with a pin buckle in 950 platinum.
